Pocket-sized unmanned aircraft
In collaboration with DARPA, researchers at Oklahoma State University released an unmanned aircraft small enough to fit in a soldier’s pocket.
The aircraft uses a futuristic propulsion system that consists of plasma thrusters and no moving parts, measuring anywhere from a foot to under six inches.
Unlike the large UAVs usually used in war zones, this new line will be much smaller and more discreet, making them more suitable when it comes to scouting out the enemy territory without risking human life and limb.
