Solar, wind powered spinning streetlights

Streetlights are common all over the world, but the ones outside The Panasonic Centre in Tokyo, are different. Embracing the need for every-day products which run on renewable energy sources, these are solar, wind powered spinning streetlights.

Designated the ‘seagull’, the power reservoir is the battery at the base of the light pole. Solar panels draw energy during the day, while that job is left to the spinning wind turbines at night.
